Long Time No Journal

Tue May 30, 2006, 4:40 AM
It has definately been two months since I last updated my journal. That's a long time.

The Memorial Day Parade this year sucked. It was WAY too hot; we shouldn't have had to wear our stupid marching uniforms. But, on the bright side *sarcastic*, only one person passed out!

Eight days of school left!! I am very ready for school to be over with. My cousin came up from Bay City yesterday, and they got out of school on the 25th. How lame is that?

I still need a job, so if anyone has any ideas, let me know.

The Chemistry/Limnology classes are going canoeing tomorrow during school. I love canoeing, but missing exam reviews just for something like that is not worth it. My grades have been sliding lately so it would definately be much more beneficial for me to not go. Plus, our youth group is going canoeing in August so it's not like I won't be able to go ever again.

It is very weird not having seniors at school anymore. There were seniors in nearly every class I had, and now there's an emptiness. However, some emptinesses are a good empty, since I wasn't exactly best friends with all of the seniors.

B.A.T. = The biggest blow off class ever. I love having time to just sit in class and do things like this. I wish I could take B.A.T. again next year, since this is where I do the vast majority of my homework.

We need to start the praise band at church again. I have a new-found excitement for playing bass thanks to , so I need a place to use it.

I'm taking my Caravan's class hiking on Wednesday. That should be fun. I love teaching little kids; they are so inquisitive, and are completely oblivious if you don't explain something right or screw something else up.

I went to Shelby's house over the weekend, which was a lot of fun. We went downtown with Kylea and Kourtney. Note to self: No shops are open on Sunday!!! The only place that was actually open when we were there was the Chocolate Haus. That wasn't bad, though, since we got ice cream. After that we went over to Walmart, got yelled at by one of the employees, went back to Kylea's house and sang to N*SYNC and Phantom of the Opera, then went to Burger King.

My cousin moves to Florida this week. We've been really close, and now she's moving away. But we get to go to Florida in November so that makes it all better. :)

Megan moves away this week, too. Everyone needs to stop moving. I'm happy with them where they are now, there's no need for them to move DAYS away. I guess you appreciate the person more once they're gone. We'll miss you Megan!!!

I'm section leader!!! I was kind of expecting it; however, seeing my name printed on a list is very satisfying. I'm really excited for marching next year, since I will be in control of all of the altos!

I'm sorry guys, I can't think of anything else to ramble about. If you made it this far, kudos for you!!! If not, I don't blame you. My life is boring.

The Best Day Ever

Sat Mar 25, 2006, 6:34 PM
Today = the best day of my life!

Kylea and I went to State Solo/Ensemble festival today. I got a 1 for my quintet and a 1 for the duet. I was so pumped to get that high of a rating at states.

I'm accepted into NHS! That's a lot of stress off of my shoulders now that I have a definate answer about it.

AND...

I finally got my bracelet back. I got it for my birthday from my aunt but it broke three days later. She had to get it fixed for me and I got it back today.

I'm telling you, today couldn't have been any better.

Exams

Mon Jan 16, 2006, 5:37 AM
So here I am in first hour after I have finished my exam. I now have fifty minutes to do absolutely nothing but sit here and type in this sad little blank box. True, I could study for another upcoming exam. But will I? Probably not. I don't care enough about the other exams to waste my time trying to cram in last minute information. If I am was going to get the information, it would have been days, weeks, and even months ago, not a few hours before the test. At least that's my philosphy. Not logical, I understand, since I could take all the time in the world to memorize every last little thing on the piece of paper. But that would be too time consuming.
